A life of faith is a life based on the Scriptures.  This is why we are told that “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17) Much of the time we struggle in this area of faith because we simply do not know what the Word of God, the Bible, actually says. One of the great practices for a person of faith is the memorization of scripture. Below is a categorized list of Bible verses that everyone would do well to know.  There are many other wonderful verses of course, but these are a great place to start.

Assurance

John 3:36 – He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Hebrews 13:5 – Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

John 10:28 – And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
