Jeremy Stalnecker

Jeremy Stalnecker is the Executive Director of the Mighty Oaks Foundation which is dedicated to helping America’s military warriors and their families who are suffering from the unseen wounds of combat. While growing up Jeremy’s only goal was to leave home and join the Marine Corps. This dream was finally realized with an active duty commission in 1999 which opened the door to serve as a Marine Infantry Officer during the opening days of the war in Iraq. One month after returning from Iraq, Jeremy entered full-time ministry and eventually accepted a senior pastor role. He later accepted a full-time position with the Mighty Oaks Foundation which brought together his ministry and military experience in a way that allows him to minister to hurting veterans, service members and their families. Along with his wife and their four children, Jeremy works to reach the hurting and provide healing found in Christ.

Born Alive

In a country that holds as a founding principle the “Inalienable Rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness,” we must seriously consider why these rights would be denied to the most helpless among us! Although this debate has long been framed as either political or religious, we need to see it for what it really is and ask the question, “What is behind the obsession that so many have with taking the life of, now at least, even those who have been born?”

Civil Rights and the Second Amendment-Op Ed

While the individual histories behind the fight for Civil Rights and the fight to preserve the Second Amendment are not the same, they are each a necessary part of American history. The government of the United States should never remove the rights of its citizens in ways that violate our Constitution. Dr. King and the thousands he led worked to make that truth become a reality and it is the millions of freedom-loving, law abiding, gun-owning citizens of this country that will keep it so.
